So, what does this say about you?

With cousins in town, the kids are spending Sunday afternoon playing Apples to Apples. They decided to see what their winning cards had to say about them...

Kaleigh's School Project

Kaleigh and her school friends Jessica D. and Jessica M. put this together for a school project. They wrote the lyrics, drew the pictures, and sang all of the tracks. We were all pretty impressed with the result.

Tyler Style Entertainment...

Tyler just keeps us laughing all the time.
He always has something funny that he says or does.
Today, I just keep laughing every time I look at him.

You might be wondering what this cute
little puppy has to do with anything.

This is our newest bathtub toy.
It came on top of a bottle of
Littlest Pet Shop bubble bath.

As you can see, he is just so adorable and cute
that anybody would want to play with him, right?

Well, Tyler came out of the bathroom last night
with this little puppy suctioned onto his chin.
He thought it was pretty cool at the time.
But, this morning, he woke up looking
like this:

He confided to us that there was a spot
just like these on his belly button also.

He went to his quorum presidency meeting
this morning and his leader said, "Why do
you have those circles on your face?"
Tyler told him he was playing with a
little puppy toy. The leader laughed
and said, "You'd better hope those
are gone by tomorrow!"

Tyler is trying to convince me that this
would be a valid reason to stay home
from junior high. What do you think?

Aaaand, They're Off......to School, That Is!

Tyler was a little nervous about starting Junior High.
Friday was 7th graders only, so he didn't have to worry
about getting beaten up by any 9th graders!

Tyler wasn't about to pose in front of the school for a picture.
(Notice the girl & her mom by the flagpole?)
So I had to take advantage of the opportunity before me.

Jessie's school is under construction this year.
This drop-off area was just finished Saturday night.
At least we can get to the school now without
having to walk all the way around the block.

Jessie is standing outside her classroom door.
Her class is a "portable" this year.
Hopefully by next fall all the classes
will be in a real building.

Jessie was the first one to her classroom this morning.
Her teacher is new to the school this year
and is actually a member of our ward.
(That is her 4th grade daughter in the background.)

Kaleigh is "big man on campus"
at the junior high this year.
Freshman!
As an official high school student
(grades count toward graduation)
she is just too cool to have her mom get out
of the car and take a picture, but at least
she was willing to stop and smile while I
took a shot from inside the car.

Easter Sunday

We had a beautiful Easter Sunday here in Utah.
Papa Larry was asked to speak
in Sacrament meeting, so we went to their ward and
then to Grandma Minnie and Grandpa Nilan's for dinner.
Then, Jessie wanted to see the "dog park" where
Annie goes to play. There were a lot of dogs there.
The park is fenced and everyone
lets their dogs run loose (without a leash).
Jessie was a little nervous with all the big dogs,
but she also thought it was lots of fun!

The girls went shopping last week for new Easter Dresses.

Here's a better smile on Jessie, running in Grandma's backyard.

Isn't she so cute? And the rolls look yummy!

Tyler is working on his biceps with some jelly bean weights.

And this is what Shane looked like all day.
He is taking a photography class at UVSC and has been practicing
and playing with all the settings on his fancy camera.
When Grandma Kathryn got after him for taking her picture, he began
taking some very nice shots of all the food.

11:30 am Sunday Morning

This is the 2nd time Shane has shoveled today,
and there was just as much snow the first time.

Here is Tyler's snow cave - he has spent many hours working on this beauty. With all the new snow today, he's planning to build a 2nd cave and tunnel between the two.

Oh, What Do You Do in the Wintertime, When All the World is White?

We've had lots of snow this month.
We found a little, gentle slope at a nearby park and had lots of fun!

Tyler was by far the most daring sledder in our bunch,
and Jessie the most cautious.
She didn't like it when her sled would flip around backwards,
but it couldn't seem to be avoided.

Kaleigh never misses a chance to stop and smile
when the camera comes out.

Shane's not as young as he used to be...
he's a little pooped from all this excitement.
